How to get from Moscow to Istra

The distance from Moscow to Istra along the highway is 54 kilometers. The first point on our route is a little closer - 47 kilometers. The most convenient and fastest way to reach it is by car along the Novorizhskoe highway. The road without traffic jams will take 30-40 minutes.

Oleg Sirota's cheese factory has been operating since 2015. It produces hard and semi-hard cheese varieties. The store presents such cheeses as: "Vinny", "Istrinsky", "Festivalny", "Honey", "Pivnoy", "Tyrol", "Russian Parmesan" and others.

More than 1000 cows are involved in the production of healthy and tasty cheese, yoghurt and milk every day. There is a cowshed next to the cheese dairy. Anyone can come there and see how the nurse-cows live. And on the excursion, you will be taught to recognize the varieties of cheese and determine its quality, and will be given a view of the full cycle of the transformation of milk into cheese.

Free guided tours run every hour from 10:00 to 17:00. For group paid excursions, you must sign up in advance by phone: +7 (926) 975-96-22, - and make an advance payment.

The next point of the route is 30 kilometers from Oleg Sirota's cheese dairy. You can get there in about half an hour. Follow Novorizhskoe shosse and then turn onto Savelievskoe shosse. After the village of Savelyevo, turn left towards the village of Kurovo.

The owners of the farm, Alexander and Lyudmila Kornev, conduct free excursions for everyone, where they show guests their farm, talk about the farm, the difficulties and peculiarities of their work. Cows, calves, rabbits, goats, birds, pigs, dogs, cats and many other animals live there. They can be ironed, fed and photographed. The program also includes tasting of farm products and bread prepared according to an old Russian recipe.

How to get from Istra to Volokolamsk
